Slash was born in Stoke-On-Trent, England on July 23rd,1965. When he was real little he and his family moved to Los Angeles California where he was raised most of his life. When he was in high school he met Steven Adler and they became good friends through the years. They both wanted to be in a band so Slash took up the guitar and played until he got so good that he could be an "official guitar player" for a band. Meanwhile, after he learned how to play the guitar and Steve was playing the drums they became a small band called "Road Crew".

Later they met McKagan(ex-bass player) and he joined them. He left sooner than they thought because they knew they couldn't get big they way they were headin'.

While Axl & Izzy were makin' their band "HollyWood Rose" they placed an ad up in "The Recycler" that McKagan had saw when it said "We need a bass player" so that's when McKagan left Road Crew for HollyWood Rose. Then McKagan said to Axl & Izzy that he knew 2 people that could make a bigger band. (Yes, Axl was of course up for that idea!). So Duff set up the whole original line-up for the new band (1985-1987) Guns N' Roses

1995- After the Gn' R days Slash had put up a band called Slash's Snakepit which by the way is a great album! All Gn' R fans should love this album... it also includes Matt Sorum (who replaced Adler in 1990), Gilby, and Duff. Another album called "Slash's Blues Ball" which a tour member Teddy ZigZag took lead vocals... release date (?) it also includes past Gn' R members.
